Volunteers, Our Success and the Key
A successful Festival can be defined by one word, Volunteers. Without volunteers there wouldn’t be a Fort Armstrong Folk Festival. Giving without tangible compensation is lesson less and less emphasized in our world today. What individuals don’t see when they give their time, effort and energy (to a successful Festival) is that they are giving and are getting something that they should stand tall for and take pride in; they are bettering their community, their county, their state and their town. They are creating compassion and empathy for others and their ancestors taking ownership and responsibility for their own future. The Festival is 99% run by volunteers. Caring makes a difference, caring volunteers make the world.
The Fort Armstrong Folk Festival thanks all who has made the 2009 festival possible.
